360 Adventure Chateau de Chazey-sur-Ain

A tour of France is not complete until you have visited at least a few Castles and Chateaus. This castle was founded in the twelfth century and is in the neighborhood of our next town called Perouges.  It is not a Castle that does tours inside, but they allow people on holiday to come stay at this marvel.  (Wouldn't that be amazing. Number is 33 4 74 61 96 40)

This link has pictures from the inside, and it definitely has a medieval knight theme that takes you back such a long time ago.  We did not managed to talk anyone into a tour, but it was still amazing just to walk the grounds and visit this medieval castle that has been cared for so well.

I love the railing on the below castle turret.

Here is a Google Map List of some of my favorite quaint towns we visited on our Tour of France if that is helpful.

If you liked this Island, then you will also LOVE
PEROUGES France.
It is a lovely medieval town that has been wonderfully preserved, and it feels like you walked back in time.

Funny enough, I had almost forgotten that I hadn't finished my post on this wonderful spot.  Then today I sat doing a puzzle we got for Christmas of Mont St Michel, and I realized that I needed to finish this post.  So in honor of the beautiful puzzle that helped me remember to finish this post, this is my first sponsor link today.  Please consider browsing them, for even the few pennies that it send my way helps send more adventures your way.
